Where would we be without Nikos? My wife, Veronica, has posted a review. There is, however, more to say. She fractured her right hip a couple of years ago and, just after that was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. This was after an incorrect diagnosis some months earlier. Needless to say (regrettably), the NHS was unable to provide suitable physiotherapy, neither for the fracture nor the mobility problem caused by the Parkinson’s. We luckily found Nikos, who has worked hard on Veronica’s issues and his exercises and positive attitude has made a huge difference. Two years on, it was clear that Veronica’s condition is not Classical Parkinson’s. Her NHS consultant explained that a CT Scan was necessary, but after seven months that was still not forthcoming. Nikos suggested we joined Bill and Vicki (see their reviews) in Thessaloniki, which we did. The day after arriving, Veronica had her CT scan, a diagnosis and a consultation with a neurologist, which lasted nearly two hours. Nikos arranged everything.
We now know what we’re dealing with and what to do about it.

I found Nikko a year ago through a leaflet drop -and life has changed beyond belief and in more ways than I can elucidate but Nikko’s way of life, set down by him, I feel is right and the only way to go. He visits 4 times per week and even though the tailored routine is hard it is the only way to go with my variant of Parkinsons and walking issues caused partly by broken hips. .His knowledge is boundless and he has become a good friend 👌

I contacted Nikos some months ago as I felt I needed help and advice for a neurological problem I have which causes speech and coordination difficulties. I had unfortunately become frustrated by the slow responses from the NHS. Nikos made himself readily available with home visits and suggested a number of therapies to increase my physical strength, balance and co-ordination.It soon became clear that he had a very experienced background. He is very positive, encouraging and friendly. Having assessed me, he suggested a trip to Greece to have consultations with specialists there. Nikos facilitated everything and the experience was a very positive one. In fact we went twice and plan to visit again soon.
In Greece, the specialists were generous with their time and helped me to understand what my issues are and therapies to slow down the deterioration. The consultations included a radio-active MRI scan, rTMS, which is magnetic pulsing for the brain, acupuncture and speech therapy. I do not believe I could have achieved all this in such a short space of time here in England. I have met with other clients of Nikos who echo my feelings.
Nikos will offer you practical help and hope.

I had a stroke over 4 years ago. I took a chance on Nikos, and it was a good decision. He is a little unorthodox but does what is required to help me to manage my condition, and even improve, which after so long is impressive.

I have used other physios who know about stroke, but Nikos stands out. He knows how to push me, but his technique is not for the faint hearted! He expects me to work hard at improvements, and in return he gives me hell, but the good sort, lots of encouragement and he can explain why I should do what he wants.

Nikos gets the causes of spasticity and is effective at treating them, retraining the brain as well as the physical side. It’s not easy, but it does work for me.

Nikos is friendly, good natured and a good physio!

I am 58 in case it matters.

Nikos is friendly, professional and wonderfully straight talking therapist. He has been with our family for 2 months, helping our mum with rehabilitation following a stroke in June, where she lost all movement in her left side. Whilst the NHS team were great at getting her mobile, there was a plato, with little change in the movement in her arm or hand.

Since Nikos started the 3 times a week sessions, his intense, but very rewarding work with our Mum, is generating good results, with movement, strength and flexibility returning in her arm and leg, with some hints of movement in her hand.

We are extremely happy we found Nikos and Anna. The care, attention and personalised exercise they deliver with our Mum and leave her to do independently, is producing the improvements she really wants see.
